NORDIC BRAIN develops methods for Brain Training that use computer technology to train the brain's cognitive functions. NORDIC BRAIN is an independent company also run and owned by Fredrik Vogel. The Rehabilitation Center Bispebjerg, in Copenhagen, has entered into a contract with NORDIC BRAIN for the purpose of developing and opening a BRAIN LOUNGE as a new service to the city's senior citizens. In the Brain Lounge, popular casual games such as Bejeweled and Mahjong, are used together with dedicated brain training systems, and ordinary activities such as "going on-line" for brain training, and this is a new service being offered within social services for the elderly. In the BRAIN LOUNGE users will be able to play computer games that have been designed specifically to train and enhance brain functions such as concentration, memory, visual-spatial orientation, motor skills and analytic functions.
The primary aims of NORDIC BRAIN and the Brain Lounge is to promote the "sparkle of life", physical activity, and a greater knowledge of the contemporary world among the elderly.
