HUNDEN IB is ready for production after a comprehensive development process in 2008. It is a media property for pre-school audiences with a television series (initially 26 x 5 minutes), intertestials (fillers), 10 on-line computer games, sale of PC platform games, board games, books, music cd's, and merchandise. The project is based on a series of hugely popular books by Danish writer Peter Nordahl and illustrator Rasmus Bregnhøi. The production time is calculated to 2,5 years.

The TV series will be directed by Kasper Kruse from Wall of Pixels and co-produced with DR (Danish Broadcasting corp.) The on-line games will be directed by Tomas Landgreen from TITOONIC and co-produced with DR's on-line platform for children, Oline. The development of HUNDEN IB has been supported financially by Nordic Film & TV Fund and the Vest-Danish Film Fund.
The project "Hunden Ib" is Vogel Film & Media's new concept for Cross Media to the younger children. "Hunden Ib" will be published as books, cartoons, video games, mobile content and more. The project is built upon Peter Nordahl and Rasmus Bregnhøi's popular books about the dog Ib and his friend the mouse, where the first books have been published by Gyldendal in Denmark.
The convergence of the different delivery channels influences the market for TV series so that today, it is only possible to sell unique content that can be "branded" clearly. A project has to work in multiple windows, ie. print, Internet, broadcast television and mobile platforms. |
